Painting in the Cape climate
Cape Town exteriors take weather that inland properties do not. Properties on the Atlantic
Seaboard and along the West Coast carry salt-laden air and the summer south-easter, which
strips poorly prepared coatings off west- and south-facing walls first. Winter rain between
May and August rules out most exterior work, so exterior repaints are booked around it. We
will tell you if the work you are asking for should wait for a drier window rather than
taking the booking and painting into damp weather.
